U.S. Customs Cargo Description Requirement Reminder: Effective Date to November 13th, 2024
Radius International is committed to keeping its clients informed on critical industry updates. Last month, we shared information regarding the new cargo description requirements mandated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for shipments entering the United States.
We want to remind you that the effective date for these requirements is approaching. The guidelines will now take effect at 12:00 PM Eastern Time on November 13th, 2024.
Under the new rules, shipments with unclear or insufficient cargo descriptions could be rejected by CBP, leading to potential delays in processing. To help ensure smooth and timely delivery, it is crucial that all cargo descriptions meet the specified standards.
