Dear Valued Customer,
Effective June 1, 2018, China Customs will require additional data elements to identify shippers and consignees of all shipments transported into mainland China. This additional information is mandatory for both master air waybills (MAWBs) and house air waybills (HAWBs), and must be provided on the paper documentation and included in any FWB/FHL Cargo-IMP messages transmitted.
This requirement impacts all mainland China destinations.
The following elements are now mandatory:
• Shipper's Enterprise Code must be shown on the paper AWB and in the OCI line of the FWB/FHL message
• Consignee's Uniform Social Credit Identifier (USCI) must be shown on the paper AWB and in the OCI line of the FWB/FHL message
• Consignee's contact person, name and contact number must be shown on the paper AWB and in the SHP and CNE data items of the FWB and FHL message
• Shipper and consignee's telephone number must be present as part of their addresses
